The topic of technologically advanced visitors from outer space has been a popular one in recent months, with plenty of people theorising that comet 3I/ATLAS was actually a reconnaissance craft sent from a distant civilisation.
A claim which, of course, turned out to be false, much like NASA initially predicted. However, speculation around an alien invasion is a topic which never truly goes away, with a recent prediction attributed to the Bulgarian mystic suggesting this is coming sometime in 2026.
What has Baba Vanga said about a possible alien invasion?
According to The Mirror, the clairvoyant - who passed away in 1996 - believed that an alien civilisation would make contact with humans no later than November 2026.
She didn't give too many details away, but suggested that first contact would be made when a colossal alien spacecraft entered our atmosphere.

How accurate are Baba Vanga's predictions?
Before any of you start leaving your homes in mass panic, like numerous American citizens after hearing a radio broadcast of War of the Worlds back in 1938, it's worth noting that Vanga does not have the best track record when it comes to prophecies about UFOs.
In fact, numerous predictions regarding aliens and apocalyptic scenarios have been attributed to the mystic over the years, with History sharing a failed 2023 prediction which warned of an extra-terrestrial war waged upon the human race.
Meanwhile, it has also been claimed that she believed aliens would disrupt a 'major sporting event' to announce their arrival during 2025 – a claim which did not come to pass.
So I think it's fair to say you can take this one with a pinch of salt as well.
What other predictions has Baba Vanga made about 2026?
Aliens weren't the only thing on Vanga's mind in regards to 2026, with the mystic also predicting an Artificial Intelligence U-turn, several natural disasters and several international political disputes, which seem to have come true if you account for the US' recent capture of Venezuela's President Nicholas Maduro.
Looking beyond 2026, she'd also shared her thoughts on how humanity would end more broadly, with a prediction suggesting that life on Earth would meet a violent and bloody end in 5079.
Which means that regardless of how bad things get in the next months and years, we don't have to worry about being present for the end of the world.
