You Can Live On A Cruise Ship In Apartments Starting At £286,000

There will be 547 residences on the 741ft long Storylines ship due to launch in 2024

With the average price of a UK home being £268,349, you might want to rethink buying on dry land and instead a purchase a property that sails the seas.

MV Narrative is a ‘residential community at sea’ and has one to four-bedroom apartments and studios for sale.

Florida-based Storylines have shared renders of the 741ft (226 m) long ship, with a whopping 547 residences on board.

The huge yacht is being built in Croatia and is due to launch in 2024, reports Daily Mail.

Storylines say that their primary focus is on ‘providing more affordable entry-level options into the condo ship market’.

The dimensions of the lowest priced apartment - £268,170 ($366,667) - will be 237-sq-ft (22 sq m).

However, the 'all-inclusive' offer will still require a living fee charge, which will cover maintenance and food costs - setting you back between $65k (£47,800) and $200k (£147,000) per unit per year.

Every apartment will be have 'Italian-designed' furniture and will be decked out with flat-screen TVs, ‘climate control’ systems, adjustable mood lighting and stereo speakers and so on.

There's also a 24/7 home delivery service where residents can eat at 20 bars and restaurants.

Entertainment-wise, a cinema, a microbrewery, three pools and a 10,000-book library will also feature on the giant ship.

Oh and there's a spa and wellness centre, including a salon for a fresh skin fade, a yoga studio, along with a whirlpool.

Lectures and workshops will also be provided 'on and off' the ship if you your thirst for knowledge requires such.

A statement adds: "Residents are encouraged to start special interest clubs; perhaps you are a chess, photography, wine, astronomy or bridge aficionado?

"Start a club or join in on the fun."

Storylines

The website also says that friends and family are welcome to join.

"Friends and family of Storylines residents are welcome! Invite a friend for a month, your children for a week, or make eternal memories with your grandchildren for a whole summer.

"Should you wish, Storylines will even manage renting your residence for you while you are away."
