Krispy Kreme As Releasing A Solar Eclipse Themed Doughtnut And It Looks Tasty

Tomorrow, a solar eclipse will cut a path across half of the planet. It will be the first to be visible from the mainland of the USA since 1979 and although it won't be quite a full spectacle in the UK, we will get to see a partial eclipse just before sunset.

Over in North America, Krispy Kreme are celebrating the occasion and are releasing a new spin on their world-famous glazed confectionary.

The Krispy Kreme Chocolate Glazed Doughnut features the classic Original Glazed Doughnut, smothered in a rich chocolate glaze.

"The solar eclipse is a rare occasion providing a total sensory experience for viewers across the continental U.S. Chocolate will have the same effect as we introduce a first-time chocolate glazing of our iconic Original Glazed Doughnut," said a Krispy Kreme spokesperson.

"The Chocolate Glazed Doughnut is a delicious way to experience the solar eclipse - no matter where you are - and we can't wait for fans to try it."

Like the eclipse itself, the doughnut is a once in a life-time event and will only be available to buy August 19-21, so if you fancy tasting it make sure you head down there ASAP.
