Paddy McGuiness Slates Money Used To Keep Ian Brady Alive

He says the funds should have been spent on finding Keith Bennett's body.

When news circulated that Moors murderer Ian Brady was on life support yesterday, Take Me Out host Paddy McGuiness had a strong opinion.

He says: "Can all the money spent keeping that sack of shit Ian Brady alive for all these years now be used to help find little Keith Bennett?"

Keith was murdered, aged just 12 years old, by Brady and Myra Hindley. He was snatched by the pair while on his way to his grandmother's house on 16 June 1964.

As part of the kidnapping, Hindley lured the young boy into her van before driving to a lay-by on the Moor, where Brady took him. While Hindley kept watch, Brady sexually assaulted and strangled the boy.

Neither of the two revealed where Keith was buried. Tragically, Keith's mother, Winnie Johnson, died in 2012 without knowing the whereabouts of her son's body. Keith's remaining family had hoped that Brady would reveal the final burial place on his deathbed, but the murderer died in prison last night at a high-security psychiatric hospital in Merseyside.

Paddy's suggestion has been echoed by dozens of other people:

Brady's lawyer and executor of his will, Robin Makin, has revealed what the murderer said to him in his final moments.

He appeared on Radio 4's Today programme to discuss their final meeting. He said: "I would very much hope that the remains can be found, but unfortunately I haven't got any information that's going to assist."

He explained: "We discussed a few things but he was extremely weak and it was sort of very, very difficult for him.

"It was somebody who was in his last hours really."

The lawyer also said that in the 25 years that he visited Brady, he never actually asked him where Keith was buried. Makin says that their final conversation was about 'disposal arrangements' and 'sorting out his affairs'.
