Ouch Charlie!

If you're around the same age as me, you'll remember having a list of at least 10 YouTube videos that you could call up immediately to show your mates.

Charlie Bit My Finger was definitely on that list.

Not because it was overwhelmingly hilarious, but just because it was the right amount of cute and funny. The video shows Charlie sitting on Harry's lap before Harry sticks his finger in his younger brother's mouth.

Well the boys are all grown up now, Harry is 13 years old and Charlie is 11. In the 10 years since the video was uploaded, it's amassed nearly 850 million views, which is the 90th most viewed clip on the site. In October 2009, they held the number one spot on YouTube for 171 days before their crown was snatched by Lady Gaga's video for 'Bad Romance'.

According to The Metro, the 55-second video earned the family an impressive £1 million. After the video went viral, Harry and Charlie were flown all over the world for TV appearances, as well as starring in adverts for Renault, EE, Delta Air Lines and Ragu and Gerber. Charlie has told the news site: "The video has made money? What money?"

Their dad, Howard, says the clip was only intended to be for friends and family: "In 2007, sharing video files - about 50 megabytes - was hard. It was too big for email, so YouTube stood out as a great vehicle to share videos." He was about to take the clip offline, but noticed the video's views were skyrocketing every day.

If you're wondering who currently holds the crown for the most amount of views on YouTube, it's Psy's 'Gangnam Style'. The 2012 K-pop viral sensation has a whopping 2.84 billion views. Surprisingly, that's closely followed by 'See You Again' by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth, with 2.74 billion views.

Justin Bieber's 'Sorry' and Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' hit, 'Uptown Funk', come in at third and fourth.

Even though Charlie Bit My Finger is 10 years old, the video has still been viewed 3.5 million times this year and is the second most viewed, non-music video on the YouTube platform.
