A Texas man with a long history of 'deviant sex acts' has been sentenced to life in prison for possession of meth and tampering with evidence.

Fifty-six-year-old Charles Robert Ransier, was found by a trooper from the Texas Department of Public safety wearing just a pair of jeans and melted candle wax on his chest back in 2015.

When the trooper approached Ransier, who was in his vehicle, he noticed a little girl's swimsuit 'laid out perfectly' on the driver's side floorboard inside the truck. He also spotted a tube of lube and melted candle wax inside.

The trooper asked Ransier if he could search his car, leading Ransier to attempt to break a syringe he was holding - the syringe was later tested and was positive for traces of meth, according to the Daily Mail.

After his arrest, the truck was searched again and authorities found more kid's clothing, sweets, Barbie dolls, Viagra, rope, duct tape, balloons and a cooler with frozen cucumbers inside.

At trial, jurors took less than 30 minutes to find him guilty. He was subsequently sentenced to life in prison for tampering with physical evidence and given 20 years for possessing less than a gram of meth. He was also whacked with a $10,000 (£7,590) fine.

This is far from Ransier's first time in front of a jury. His criminal history is long, and bizarre, with previous convictions for a 'deviant sex act involving a squash' in 2012 and an additional charge for a similar offence in 2014, when he was found in a baseball field, naked apart from women's stockings, and engaging in a sex act with a vegetable.

He also has a previous manslaughter charge, after he killed a police officer while driving high on meth in 1995. For some reason, that didn't lead to a life sentence, but the recent charge of tampering with evidence did.
