If you're the sort of person who likes a side of pornography with their Big Mac, then I have terrible news for you. McDonald's is putting a block on its free Wi-Fi so you'll no longer be able to surf for porn.
But don't worry too much, perverts, the ban is currently only being put in place in the US. Phew! To be honest, I don't know if we have a similar ban in the UK. I sort of hope we do.
The Verge is reporting that due to its commitment to providing a safe environment for customers the decision has been made to begin filtering adult content in most of its US locations.
The ban comes after two years of pressure from advocacy group Enough is Enough - who want to make the Internet safer for children and families. A spokesperson from Enough is Enough was quick to point out that McDonald's wasn't aware of any pornography related incidents in store, so that's something I suppose.
I'm not really sure how to feel about this. On one hand I like to think I'm pretty anti-censorship and on the other hand, I don't want people wanking while I'm trying to order a McFlurry.
