I can't get my head around this; people are paying over £200 for a fiver...
The new fivers, which were released last week, are selling on eBay for hundreds of pounds. Honestly, there are people in the world who will happily pay £200 for a fiver. My mind is blown.

Collectors know that rare coins/bank notes are as expensive as fuck, so they're getting their grubby paws on them now while it's still relatively easy to track down the early ones.

Being the Bank of England's first polymer notes means that in the future these things will be worth a fortune; so if you find one keep hold of it.

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish a massive good luck to this chancer, too.

Don't worry if you've had one of the new fivers and spent it (or donated it) because it's only a few rare ones that are selling for that much.
In future, though, keep an eye out for serial number beginning with AA01 as well as serial numbers that run in a sequence.
