Barbara Butcher is a woman who has been privy to much that most of us will never face, and while it could easily scare any one of us, she explained why she's not scared.
The New York investigator, who worked on 9/11's Twin Towers terrorist case in 2001, sat down with LADbible Stories for an exclusive interview, and it was there that she revealed why she doesn't fear death.
"I was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised out on Long Island," said Butcher, matter-of-factly, and stated that her life was 'peaceful' as a kid, even though she's 'the oldest of nine children'.
But it wasn't the quiet she wanted in life.

"I wanted to get to New York City so badly," she said. "That's where I wanted to be. That's where the adventure was. That's where people were doing things. Creative things, crazy things."
"I was investigating deaths as a small child"
Those crazy things would soon become the very topic of her whirlwind career: murder. Although, it seems like she was made for the job.
Butcher said: "I was already investigating deaths when I was a small child.
"I got a dissecting kit, a chemistry set, and a microscope, and the kids in the neighbourhood used to bring me roadkill. Just animals they'd find dead on the on the lawns or on the streets."
She explained she'd perform an autopsy on them to find out their cause of death, however, admitted that it 'served me well' later in life.
But perhaps it was in her blood. After all, her 'father was a police officer.'
Although, maybe the reason she was suited to be a cop was because she doesn't fear death – which in itself isn't all that heard of.
She doesn't fear her own death
When talking with LADbible Stories, Butcher revealed that she has a certain zest for life, which prohibits the fear from getting to her.
“No, I don't want to die because I'm having so much fun now," she said. "Life is wonderful and I want every second of it. And, uh, but when it happens, no, I don't fear it."
She added: "Because then I'll get to know what happened. What is it? I want to see what the universe is about. And to me, true heaven is when they tell you everything."

Butcher went on to explain that when she dies, then she'll know 'what happened', explaining: "This is how the universe came about. This is how people were created. That's going to be something.”
To her, it seems like it's just another adventure for her to go on.
After life living as a person who investigates death, how much more adventure could it be?
Butcher revealed that to her, her job was 'heaven' to her when she was first offered the role.
"I said, oh hell yes. This was like a dream come true. From childhood. I had the medical background," she said.
"They gave me all the training. I went to the FBI Academy, I went to the NYPD, um, homicide school, Criminal Investigation school, and I learned everything I could on the job. And then I was out there doing cases on my own."
She added: "It was heaven."
