Eddie Hall Shares Fascinating Picture From Back In His 'Peak' Strongman Days

Eddie Hall Shares Fascinating Picture From Back In His 'Peak' Strongman Days

Eddie Hall is still a beast, but he's a lot leaner now he's training to fight The Mountain

Eddie Hall – sometimes known as ‘The Beast’ – has shared a photograph from back when he was in his World’s Strongest Man days and it’s easy to see where he picked up that nickname from.

Hall competed at the top level as a strongman for years and picked up the coveted world title in 2017.

Since then, he’s diversified his career slightly.

He’s planning a massive – in more ways than one – boxing match against fellow strongman Hafþór Júlíus ‘The Mountain’ Björnsson and is thought to be appearing in The Expendables 4 after being personally offered the gig by none other than Sylvester Stallone himself.

Still, he clearly looks back fondly on his days picking up huge weights against other gigantic dudes.

The don't call him 'The Beast' for nowt.

Showing off his physique from back in the day, Hall wrote: "This is what peak physical strength looks like! 196.5kg // 433lbs // 31stone // 6ft 2.5."

Come on Eddie, you don’t really need that ‘2.5’ do you?

You’re big enough already mate.

As you can see, while Hall is a big fella now, he was significantly larger back when he was competing.

That stands to reason, given the events and competitions the strongmen on the circuit put themselves through.

Now, Hall cuts a much leaner figure.

Well, he has slimmed down quite a bit, he’s still an absolute f***ing unit.

He’s aiming to get down to just 157 kilograms but is currently recovering from a detached bicep that put his fight against The Mountain on hold temporarily.

Hall also piled on the pounds over Christmas, taking to social media to remark on how he’d put ‘11lbs on’ over the Christmas weekend.

It’s probably pretty easy to do if you eat 7,000 calories every single day.

Hall decided to leave the world of professional strongman competition because of health concerns, but his impressive size still managed to capture the attention of those who have seen this photograph.

One person commented: "Absolute f****** unit,

Well, yeah.

Another joked: "That's how I feel I look after a post-fight binge."

Others chimed in to describe him as a ‘beast’ and a ‘house’, but we already knew that.

As for his big scrap against The Mountain, we’re not exactly sure when that will take place.

It had originally been scheduled for September 2021, but Hall’s bicep injury put paid to that.

Now, there’s speculation that it might take place as soon as March 2022, but there has been no official confirmation just yet.

Either way, they’d better get let the local earthquake scientists know, because if one of those boys goes down the world is going to feel it.
