Formula One’s 2021 champion, Max Verstappen, has not taken his foot off the gas coming into this 2022 season.

Once again he finds himself at the top of the standings, winning six out of the nine races so far this campaign

So after an already successful career, what is the Dutch superstar worth in 2022?

This means that Verstappen has overtaken his Mercedes rival, and seven-time F1 Champion Lewis Hamilton, to earn the highest salary of a formula one driver ever.

Verstappen is not only the youngest ever driver to compete in Formula One, but he is also the first Dutch driver to ever win a Formula One World Championship.

He's is set to continue on this lucrative salary until his contract runs out at the end of the 2028 season.

As well as his enormous annual income, over the years he has also amassed a huge fan base that call themselves the Orange Army.

This sea of supporters turn up to almost every European race wearing orange t-shirts, and it’s this popularity that makes him one of the most desirable drivers on the grid.

It's no wonder why he gets paid a huge amount by his main sponsors, Red Bull, Jumbo Supermarkets, Ziggo and G-Star Raw, to represent their products.

Verstappen is still very young in the world of Formula One, and at only 24 years of age, has much more success ahead of him. Appearing as a child prodigy, he was roped in by Red Bull’s F1 team at an early age, moving directly from F3 to F1 at the age of 17 in 2015.

Since then, the hype around ‘Mad Max’ has deservedly not died down, with the fearless youngster continuing to pick up more wins every season.

After already being worth so much at such a young age, who can blame him for splashing out a little on the luxuries in life.

He recently bought a 11,00 square foot luxury villa in Monaco for around $40 million.

Verstappen’s magnificent pad is fitted with its own indoor pool, five enormous bedrooms, a gaming room, a wine cellar and even a home theatre.

Other than this Monaco mansion, Forbes also highlights that Verstappen’s assets include, five other real estate properties, a private jet, eleven cars and three luxury yachts.

Besides his racing career, Verstappen also looks to make some money from his large portfolio of stock investments that are valued at around $25 million.
