Tyson Fury has revealed how many fights he thinks he has left as a professional boxer, following his victory over Derek Chisora

Tyson Fury has revealed how many fights he thinks he has left, following his victory tonight (September 3 December) over Derek Chisora.

Fury, 34, successfully defended his WBC heavyweight title at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London after winning by technical knockout in the 10th round.

In a post-fight press conference, Fury reflected on his return to the sport after a short-lived retirement, announced back in April.

He admitted that he didn't anticipate having much longer in boxing, which was why having his son there to watch the win felt extra special.

While Fury acknowledged that the sport was not suitable for children, he said he was happy his kids could become more involved now that they are older.

"I’m coming to the end of my career," he said.

"Whatever I’ve got left – two, three fights left.

"I want them to experience it as well, so it’s been good to have him in the camp."

Fury had confirmed his retirement from boxing after beating Dillian Whyte back in April, but it wasn’t long before he inevitably announced his return to the ring.

He said he 'really meant it, hand on heart' at the time, believing he didn't want to box anymore.

However, after experiencing four months at home living a 'normal family life', he found the new reality 'very difficult' after so long in the spotlight.

“This is what I do," Fury continued.

"This is who I am. And this is what has defined me as a person.”

“[...] I’m an entertainer, it’s what I love.”

He added: "One fight at a time, and that’s all we can do."

Fury had touched on the same feelings in a pre-fight interview with The Sun.

“I was very bored," he explained, saying it was a 'short retirement'.

“Paris wanted me out of the house. She’s happy I’m back.”

Speaking about his return, Fury added: “My real reason is I need to keep myself well in my mind.

“When you come across someone in their early or mid-20s who is fighting because they need to get off the streets and it’s do or die, then you have a problem.

“There’s nothing that I can achieve, I’ve won every belt there is to win.

“I’ve not got any thoughts. I’ve fought for a lot of things in my life.

“I suppose fighting for sanity is every bit as good as fighting for all that s**t.”
