You Can Get A Free Pint In Pubs Around The UK For The Euro 2022 Final

If you live near a Greene King pub and want to support the Lionesses at Euro 2022, here's a freebie

With the whole of England roaring the Lionesses on this weekend at Wembley, you’ll be glad to learn that you’ll be able to do so with a free pint in your hand, provided you choose wisely which pub you’re watching it in.

Greene King pubs – and there’s plenty of those about – will be offering a free pint to any punters crossing their threshold to watch the final of the Euro 2022 tournament on Sunday.

That means that if you turn up to any of Greene King’s 700 pubs you can grab a free jar while you see Sarina Wiegman’s charges take on Germany in an attempt to end England’s 56-year wait for a major international trophy.

Of course, there are a couple of hoops that you have to jump through, but none of them are that complicated, so as long as you’ve got a smartphone and a local Greene King pub you’ll be fine.

The offer is available to anyone who downloads the Greene King Season Ticket mobile app and registers their account no later than 12.00pm on match day – that’s this Sunday, 31 July.

With the match kicking off later in the afternoon, you’ll have plenty of time to prepare.

Once you’ve registered, you can pick your moment to enjoy one free pint per person until midnight on the same day.

So, you can either have something to settle your nerves before the big match gets underway, or something to celebrate or drown your sorrows afterwards.

There's nothing sweeter than a free beer.

Seriously though, drink responsibly – it ain’t great for drowning sorrows.

If you’re drinking really responsibly and not consuming alcohol, you can have a soft drink too.

For those who fancy something stronger, you can get hold of a few different ales, beers, and ciders, including Ice Breaker Pale Ale, Heineken, Foster’s, Strongbow, Amstel, and Bulmers.

There's also John Smith's, Strongbow Dark Fruit, and Heineken 0.0.

Plenty to choose from, then.

Faye Nixon, Greene King’s marketing manager, said: “The Women’s Euros has been nothing short of fantastic.

“The team have broken so many records and we’re all thrilled they’ve made it to the final.

“Whatever happens on Sunday, it’s important we don’t just see this as a one-off moment for women’s sport.

“We need to do everything we can to continue the buzz that has followed this tournament and inspire the next generation of women in sport.”

So, whether you’re supporting England or not, at least you can do so with a free drink in your hand.
