Declassified FBI file reveals Jeffrey Dahmer's polaroid collection and sickening list of items taken from flat

A sickening file recently declassified by the FBI has revealed a very disturbing list of items taken from serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer’s flat.

It includes chilling polaroid pictures and tools used to dismember his victims, as well as details of the evidence sent from Milwaukee Police Department to the FBI for examination.

Dahmer, who was also known as the Milwaukee cannibal, mutilated and murdered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991.

He was known to take polaroids of his victims – as many as 84 images – as sickening mementos of his crimes.

In the documents, obtained by The Sun, three of these horrific pictures were included.

One of these photos included 23-year-old Jeremiah Weinberger, who was Dahmer's 15th victim on July 5, 1991. In this image, Dahmer’s right leg and foot could also be seen.

The other two images sent off to the FBI showed 22-year-old Ernest Miller, Dahmer's seventh victim, and David Thomas, who was Dahmer’s eighth victim.

The police department requested the FBI examine these to help with further identifying the suspect and victims.

It was these photographs which helped to lead to the arrest of Dahmer, after his sickening collection was discovered in his bedside cabinet.

Some of the explicit images showed Dahmer engaging in sex acts with the bodies, while others depicted various stages of their murders, Biography reports.

They were found after police were alerted to his home by one of Dahmer’s victims, Tracey Edwards, who had managed to escape.

Although Dahmer tried to run, cops managed to wrestle him to the floor and handcuff him, putting a stop to his murder spree.

But these chilling photos weren’t the only items revealed in the 74-page document.

A selection of Dahmer’s tools including saw blades, knives, a power drill and a hypodermic needle were also included as well as skull fragments with drill holes in them.

In the correspondence to the FBI in August 12, 1991, police chief Philip Arreola wrote: “The remains of eleven decapitated, dismembered victims were discovered in the apartment of Jeffrey Dahmer.”

In the documents it highlighted that frozen organ samples, teeth and other human remains found in Dahmer’s home were sent to the crime lab for examination.

Fabric samples from his carpet, sofa and bed were also shipped off.

All of this was used to build the horrific picture of Dahmer’s crimes to his 17 victims. He was handed 15 consecutive life sentences in 1992, before being killed by his inmate two years later.
