Lad has the ‘elite’ Hinge profile as he describes his pictures with voice note

Allan just wanted to stand out from the crowd

An innovative single man has been praised for his 'elite' dating profile after he used a voice note to describe his images to potential matches.

If there's one thing you want from your dating profile it's to grab someone's attention, and 36-year-old Allan's profile has done exactly that. Not only on Hinge, but also on TikTok, where it's been viewed more than 588,000 times.

Obviously it's good to try and make yourself stand out from the crowd when you're competing with thousands and thousands of other single people in the dating pool, but with a limited amount of space and functions to do so, it's not always the easiest task.

Some people use pictures of themselves with celebrities or cute dogs, while others try and entice people in with an interesting fact about themselves.

However, Allan, from Derry, decided to make things even more personal by adding his voice to his profile.

He admitted to LADbible he has 'absolutely no idea' why he did it, but that he 'just wanted to try something different'.

As for where he got the music, Allan added: "Then I remembered the music from The Gallery with Tony Hart, where the camera would pan across different drawings that children had sent in. Just thought it would fit perfectly!"

Everyone loves a candid shot, and Allan knows it.

In the video, the voice note recording is played to reveal a description to accompany each of the pictures on Allan's profile.

We begin with him on a boat, what he describes as a 'classic candid look', before moving on to an image of him grinning next to a big statue wearing an apron which reads 'I heart curry wurst'.

The voice note proves beneficial as it provides more insight into Allan, who explains that he doesn't actually love curry wurst, he 'just needed a pic for the gram'.

Up next, we have one of our aforementioned attention-grabbing celebrity pics, though Allan made sure not to brag too much and instead joked that Noel Gallagher was only smiling in the photo because Allan was 'tickling his back'.

The Hinge user really started getting some laughs when he showed himself at the football with his 'massive cock' - referring to a football mascot, of course, before showing himself dressed up as Freddie Mercury and admitting he doesn't actually have a voice like the singer.

Here is Allan and his massive, well, you get the picture.

Allan has received wide praise for his efforts on his profile, with one person responding to the clip to say 'Someone marry him NOW', while another responded: "This man's sense of humour is top tier."

"He is elite Hinge. Clearly I need to move to Derry," a third wrote.

In spite of the incredible reaction his profile has had on TikTok, Allan admitted not many people he's actually matched with on Hinge have mentioned the voice over.

He told LADbible he doesn't think 'people really pay attention' to them, but added: "Maybe this will change their mind."

As for his dating prospects, the TikTok has sadly resulted in 'no change whatsoever' in terms of the number of people matching with Allan, but he remains optimistic he'll find love yet.

He said: "We'll see over the coming days."
