An amateur tattoo artist has gone viral after showing off her 'first ever' tattoo on someone else, but not everyone is impressed with her work. You can see the tattoo in question here:

Posting on TikTok, Samm - or @descendantofsalemwitches as she's known on the platform - has shown off her artwork after having recently tried her hand at tattooing for the very first time.

In the clip, Samm has done a rather large piece across a woman's back, depicting the outline of a woman's face holding a rose up over one eye.

Sharing the video, Samm wrote: "I have to say it's not bad for my first time tattooing on someone other than myself. I was nervous."

Personally, I've seen plenty of tattoos that are much worse - remember the bloke who got the 'worst photo' of himself tattooed onto his own back or the woman who loves Greggs so much she got the company's logo (poorly) etched onto her thigh?

However, if Samm was hoping to get some words of encouragement from her fellow TikTok users, then she was quickly disappointed because the clip was flooded with comments from people urging her to hang up the tattoo gun.

One person said: "Did you do it blindfolded while jumping on a trampoline?"

Another said: "This isn't even a diss, but I just really think art classes would be helpful for you."

A third said simply: "Please be the last."

Someone else said: "You gotta start from somewhere, but bro. You should've practiced more. It is bad and that's just a fact."

To which Samm replied: "Not a fact, an opinion."

Others questioned why Samm would choose something 'so massive' for her first tattoo.

And several eagle-eyed TikTok user also noticed that Samm didn't appear to be wearing gloves during the process.

But not everyone rushed to shatter Samm's dreams - one TikToker wrote: "If her friend was fine with her practicing on her then why do y'all have a problem?"

Another added: "Practice makes perfect, you'll get there."

The clip has racked up more than five million views and it seems as though Samm hasn't let the negative comments put her off inking people as she's since uploaded other clips showing off her tattoo skills.

We've all got to start somewhere, I guess.
