The resemblance is uncanny

A Kiwi woman was left 'spooked' after spotting her 'doppelgänger' on the packaging of a bald cap.

Uncanny, eh?

Radio host Haylee Clarke, 26, was out shopping for a costume at a shop called Look Sharp when she saw what appeared to be her own grinning face smiling back at her from the packaging.

Haylee said: "I was well and truly spooked."

And, of course, she went ahead and bought the cap so she could recreate the model's pose. Nice work, Haylee.

She said she'll keep the bald cap forever so she can remember the funny moment.

She added: "I bought the bald cap and took it home to really compare our faces, and the resemblance is uncanny!

"My friends and family thought it was hilarious and couldn't believe it!

"I got the same shocked reaction from my followers as well as strangers who commented their thoughts."

Haylee isn't the first person to unsuspectingly find their doppelgänger in a photo - earlier this year, a man from Stockport became convinced he must have had a past life after seeing his dead ringer in a photo from 1905.

Michael Koropisz was left feeling as spooked as Haylee was after stumbling across his 'twin'.

He said: "I was sent the photo on Instagram as someone thought it was me. They'd seen it on a website for collars.

"I was gobsmacked when I realised it wasn't me; we have the same hair, face shape, nose and dress sense. When I reverse image searched it online, I knew it wasn't fake and was in fact taken 115 years ago.

"It really spooked me at first as I have never seen anyone look so similar to me. I feel like I'm looking at a recent image of myself when I look at the photo but of course it's not.

"I don't know anything about the man in the photo taken in 1905 but by the looks of his fashion, he was either from the UK or US.

"It has to be one of the most bizarre things I've seen, it really does look just like me."
