A man who spotted his doppelganger in a photograph from 1905 is convinced it was him in a past life.
Michael Koropisz, from Stockport, UK, has always had an obsession with the 19th Century and he was 'gobsmacked' when he came across the 115-year-old picture, depicting a smartly dressed young man who bears a striking resemblance to him.

Now, you or I might chalk this off as one of life's innumerable unusual incidents, but not Michael.
The 24-year-old was living his life like a Victorian before he stumbled upon the intriguing photograph: travelling by vintage bicycle, writing with a quill and refusing to watch television. As such, it comes as no surprise that he now thinks he is living in some kind of after life.
Reflecting on when he first saw the photograph, he said: "I was sent the photo on Instagram as someone thought it was me. They'd seen it on a website for collars.

"I was gobsmacked when I realised it wasn't me, we have the same hair, face shape, nose and dress sense. When I reverse image searched it online, I knew it wasn't fake and was in fact taken 115 years ago.
"It really spooked me at first as I have never seen anyone look so similar to me, I feel like I'm looking at a recent image of myself when I look at the photo but of course it's not.
"I don't know anything about the man in the photo taken in 1905 but by the looks of his fashion, he was either from the UK or US.
"It has to be one of the most bizarre things I've seen, it really does look just like me."
Why exactly TV is incompatible with Michael's 19th Century lifestyle but the 'gram is all good, I have no idea. To be fair though, the mystery man does look a lot more like him than anyone else you're likely to pass in the street - but that's largely because not many people rock the 1905 look nowadays.

Michael added: "I've always been obsessed with the 19th Century era and have dedicated my wardrobe and lifestyle to it and now maybe that's because of my past life.
"A lot of people have called me a time traveller online but I don't know what to think.
"I'm convinced I've had a past life now."
