Two women who met as complete strangers say they look so similar that even their families cannot tell them apart.

Bianca Mihai, 18, a singer from Buzau in Romania and Palestinian-Syrian model Lana Al Beik, 25, share incredible similarities despite their seven-year age gap.

Bianca says she first discovered her lookalike Lana, who lives in Dubai, through a friend who is a photographer.

Her pal spotted a video of Lana on social media and couldn't believe that it was a different person - the pair say their families have had pretty similar responses.

Bianca said: "My parents showed the pictures to my grandmother who said, 'Wow, where did you take those images? Very beautiful Bianca, how stunning you are.'

"My dad said to her, 'No, it's not Bianca, it's another woman.'"

Meanwhile, Lana says she first discovered her doppelganger after her mum saw a video of Bianca online and was convinced it was actually her daughter.

Lana said: "One day my mum was on Instagram when she asked me about a video. I said, 'Mum, I don't sing. That's not me there.'

"She said, 'Seriously, that isn't you?'

"I asked her, 'You don't even know your own daughter?'

"She thought I was on stage singing, but it was Bianca."

After getting in touch on social media the pair decided to meet up in the United Arab Emirates where their meeting was captured by a photographer.

According to local media, the pair were 'overwhelmed with emotion' after coming face-to-face.

Bianca said: "It really is something magical."

And it seems as though the lookalikes have struck up a friendship - after posing for snaps they agreed to meet up again in Romania.

Earlier this year, a guy who says he is Keanu Reeve's doppelganger says, unsurprisingly, it makes it much easier for him to flirt with women.

Brazilian Marcos Jeeves (not his real name, in case you were wondering) has been told since he was a teen that he looks like The Matrix star and the likeness has made life easy for him as a single man.

In an interview with GQ he was asked if being Reeves' doppelganger had helped him flirt, to which he said: "Yes, I am single and looking like Keanu Reeves really helps me.

"Some women come to praise me in the comments on my Instagram photos. But I always maintain a respect and do not use the fact of looking like him to take advantage of any situation, including my followers."
