Bloke mortified after realising woman he was stroking wasn’t his wife

His blunder has gone viral

One bloke was left absolutely mortified after realising the woman he was stroking wasn’t his wife, but a random stranger instead.

The geezer was simply enjoying the bangers at a Tom Jones concert under the impression he was gently caressing his missus' back, but was beyond shocked after finally clocking on to the mix-up.

The awkward blunder was captured on film and has since sent the internet into a complete spiral with millions cracking up at the bloke's blunder. Check it out:

The footage, uploaded to TikTok, showed what initially looked like a couple happily enjoying some of Jones' best hits together in a bustling crowd.

However, upon further inspection, it would appear this was far from the case.

The bloke, who was filming the concert on his phone, can be seen stroking one blonde woman's back and shoulders as she shot a confused look to her pals who can be heard giggling off-camera.

He then looks over to the friends a few times, totally none-the-wiser why they were all dying of laughter before the epihany finally hit him.

His actual wife, who was way too engrossed in the presence of Jones to have even noticed a thing, was standing to the right of the woman he was stroking.

And, in his defence, they had an uncanny resemblance from the back.

The bloke looked down at the person he had been stroking and, after a side-splitting double-take, he burst into laughter gesturing to his wife stood right beside the woman.

"This man thought my auntie was his wife and we just let it happen," the TikTok's overlay text read.

The video has since gone viral after clocking up more than 66.3 million views on the platform with dozens of thousands of comments from people eager to share their reactions to the hilarious blunder.

Many totally understand where the man was coming from with one TikTok user writing: "I mean they do look like twins from the back."

"Identical from the back lol," echoed a second.

A third chimed in: "They really do look alike from the back, the hair and the jacket."

"All them denim jackets, though," pointed out a fourth.

The moment the penny dropped.

There were a ton of denim jackets bopping about the crowd to be fair.

Others, however, couldn't help but comment on the the song that was playing in the background throughout the whole thing.

Namely, Jones' 1999 smash-hit 'Sexbomb'.

"The song Tom is singing makes it even funnier," penned one viewer while another revealed: "This is the funniest video I’ve ever seen omg."

"He pointed like THIS ONE'S MINE," joked another "he was shookith lmao."

And a final TikTok user commented: "Awwwww! I like how he’s mortified & you all helped him laugh it off! Too cute! I hope his wife laughed too!"

I'm sure they all did.
