This season of Love Island has already seen its fair share of drama and chaos, usually revolving around Ekin-Su’s love affairs.

So far, we’ve seen the make and break of the islanders’ relationships, from Ikenna Ekwonna being brutally friendzoned, to Michael Owens’ daughter Gemma being practically married off to fishmonger Luca Bish.

The islanders have also endured a number of pot-stirring challenges, including the most recent heart rate challenge which measured each contestant’s reaction to a series of sexy dances to determine who they’re most attracted to.

However, the real relationship test is yet to come, with the infamous Casa Amor - a fan favourite from previous seasons - lurking on the horizon.

But when is Casa Amor, and how long will it last?

How Long Does Casa Amor Last?

In previous seasons, Casa Amor usually lasts around 4 days, sometimes even up to a week on the show depending on the drama it causes.

Casa Amor typically kicks off with the boys receiving a secret text message challenging them to leave the villa without the girls noticing.

Queue a few shots of them running away in boyish glee and they soon enter a more glamorous villa than before, filled with equally glamorous new girls.

While the boys are entertained by the new eye candy, the girls are also busy hosting a lineup of new boys and fighting the temptation to test the waters of their existing relationship.

Throughout the week, a series of challenges will put all relationships to the ultimate test to find out whether they’re built to last or destined to crumble.

Although the boys’ mentality of what happens in Casa Amor stays in Casa Amor is good at the time, a sneaky smooch or flirtatious quip never goes unseen.

Postcards reporting back from Casa Amor will be sent to the main villa full of scandalous photographic evidence.

If this stirs even further drama, the Love Island producers often extend the duration of Casa Amor to see where the islanders’ new connections take them.

In previous seasons, Casa Amor has taken both islanders and viewers by surprise in the fourth week of the show airing.

It has now been almost a month since Love Island season 8 first aired on Monday 6th June, so we can expect the Casa Amor bombshell to be dropped any day now.
