The controversy around Love Island’s George Knight has continued after it was revealed in a bombshell report yesterday that he had not left the villa because of personal reasons, but because he was booted off the show.
Knight left the ITV show shortly after his debut on the new series, having entered as a bombshell alongside Yasmin Hadlow but left six days later.
Initially it was stated by ITV that he had left for ‘private reasons’, with George stating he had made the decision to leave himself after being given news about the ill health of a family member.
A report yesterday from The Sun claims that the Love Islander, who is also a semi-professional footballer, used the news to ‘cover up’ the real reason.

The report states that whilst it was true that he received news about a family member, he actually was booted from the show after receiving a warning regarding ‘unacceptable language’. They claim that he used an offensive slur whilst in the villa.
Now it has come out that, not only was George booted from the villa, he is outright banned from any Love Island spin-offs Aftersun or The Debrief.
Aftersun is the ITV series’ talkback after-show, whilst The Debrief is their vodcast. ITV bosses reportedly have no plans to ask George back on for any future shows or spin-offs.
Speaking on The Showbiz Fix podcast, he said: “I was expecting just to receive a usual question, like ask how I'm doing or what's the plan for the day.

“And they just said that one of the producers on site was going to meet me at the front door and that they had some information for you and the execs wanted to see you.
“And I was thinking, oh God, what could this be about? Once the execs put you in, you don't see them again, really.
“They said that my parents had been in touch and that they had some news for me and that they were going to give me a call.
“It is all very private. But it was a health concern with a member of the immediate family.
“They said they felt like they weren't doing their role as a parent if they didn't let me know. And with what was said, I just felt like it was the right thing to come home.”
He added: “Obviously people are going to speculate, but that’s why I’m doing this. The truth is always what people want to know and that’s why I’m here.”
ITV said in a statement to LADbible at the time of his exit: “For private reasons, George has left the Love Island Villa. We have a duty of care towards George and as such will not be commenting further.”
Knight previously faced criticism from Love Island viewers after referring to a bandana fellow Islander Mica Harris was wearing as 'exotic'.
He told Capital Xtra: “She just stood out; she dressed outside of her comfort zone. That word was just the wrong word."
LADbible Group has contacted George Knight and ITV for a comment.
