Chris Eubank Shuts Down Piers Morgan During Awkward Life Stories Interview

Chris Eubank repeatedly shut down Piers Morgan during last night's Life Stories.

Anyone familiar with the show will know that Morgan takes a deep dive into his guests' personal lives, looking into their childhood, relationships and rise to fame, but it seems as though the retired boxer wasn't keen to open up about everything.

While Eubank chatted happily enough about key moments in his past, including his bankruptcy, he got cagey when Morgan began to question him about his childhood, and again when the presenter claimed his father had been 'violent'.

Eubank didn't like the word 'violent' and said he saw his dad's actions as 'steering', adding: "These youngsters would become menaces to themselves, never mind what society."

However, it seemed as though Morgan wasn't keen on this angle as he attempted to swiftly move on, prompting Eubank to ask: "Can I ask you, did you just purposefully cut me off?"

Later in the interview Eubank refused to reveal the make and model of car he drives. When asked by Morgan about his motor, he described it simply as 'a car' before he accused Morgan of 'reverting to your early days in journalism'.

Morgan hit back: "No, I am asking you for factual information and it seems to me what you are doing is, for some reason, you are slightly embarrassed about showing or talking about the excess that was going on."

Eubank replied: "I am not embarrassed, I am a gentleman. I never want to entertain in such a way where I am paying a price for it." As Morgan tried to interject, Eubank snapped back: "No, sorry, let me finish."

Touchy touchy.

Eubank was also unimpressed by questions about his allegedly infidelity against his first wife.

Asked about if the rumours were true, Eubank said: "I always came home to my wife."

Viewers loved the 'awkward' interview, with one person posting on Twitter: "Brilliant, brilliant, and brilliant. Just finished watching life stories with Chris Eubank, have I mentioned it was brilliant. Nice one Piers."

Another wrote: "I hate Moron with a passion but can actually stomach him on this as he is not as shouty.

"Chris Eubank has shut him down on numerous occasions as well so it's worth a watch!"

While a third added: "Piers... what a match! Thank you for this fantastic life story. You were totally outclassed in the best way possible, by a true gent."
