Tom Hardy Reciting A Bane Speech To His Dog Is Amazing

His dog doesn't look too impressed by the whole thing, however - presumably not a Batman fan

As well as being a brilliant actor, Tom Hardy is well known for being best friend to man's best friend. The Peaky Blinders star often talks about the love he has for his pets and has previously brought his four-legged friends along to red carpet premiers with him.

It's not all glitz and glamour for the dogs, though, as this clip shows. Stepping back into character as Bane, Hardy can be seen delivering a speech to one of his bewildered pets and it's actually pretty amazing.

Of course, at home he didn't have the Dark Knight Rises wardrobe department on hand so had to make do with a - hopefully clean - cricket box over his mouth while he did the impromptu performance for the benefit of his dog.

Speaking to his pooch using his 'Bane voice', the video shows him saying: "Oh, you think darkness is your ally. But you merely adopted the dark; I was born in it, moulded by it.

"I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding."

His dog's eyes say it all here, really, don't they?

The clip, which dates back from 2016, has recently gone viral again, because... well, look at it.

The unimpressed-looking dog in the video is believed to be his Labrador Woody, who sadly passed away last year.

In a heart-wrenching post following his death, Hardy wrote: "To the bestest friend ever. To me and to a family who loved him beyond words and whom he loved without doubt more than I have ever known.

"Woody was the bestest of journey companions we ever could dream of having. Our souls intertwined forever."

Speaking about his love of dogs in 2012, he said: "I don't have any friends. I don't keep them or entertain them for any of that kind of problem.

"So I like to keep [to] myself. I have a dog and a son. A dog couldn't do anything to upset me, you know, and neither could my son."

Lovely sentiments, but is Hardy saying if his dog took a shit in his shoes he wouldn't be upset? He's a better person than me.
