Filming has begun for the upcoming Jackass movie, and with on day two of shooting, Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O have already had to be hospitalised.

According to Bam Margera, the pair were jumping on a full speed treadmill while carrying 'band equipment', including a tuba.

Sounds about right.

According to Screen Rant, neither Knoxville or Steve-O are seriously injured and they'll be able to get back to work as soon as they're fit to do so. Which we can't see taking too long.

In the video, posted to Bam Margera's website, he explains: "It's the second day of filming Jackass already and Steve-O and Knoxville were hospitalised by jumping on a full-speed treadmill with band equipment - like a f***ing tuba."

He goes on to explain that he's also due to be seen: "So yeah, I'm here are the clinic now, taking a p*** test. Rock'n'roll, oh yeah - I've got the scars too. Yeah man."

The fourth film in the series, which was originally due to be released in March 2021, has now been given a later release date of 2 July 2021 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

This latest Jackass flick was announced in December and will be the first since 2010's Jackass 3D, as well as the first time that the gang have filmed together since the tragic death of their friend and fellow cast member Ryan Dunn.

The films, released in 2003, 2006 and 2010, were all box office hits. At a budget of less than $20m for each film, they collectively brought in $335m at the box office around the globe.

This year represents the 20th anniversary of the series' premiere on MTV, and although it'll now be next year before anyone sees the new film, there is still an appetite among the stars of the show to mark that occasion.

Steve-O said: "We're approaching the 20th anniversary of when Jackass first appeared on MTV, and I do know that there's an urge, an idea to commemorate that anniversary in some way."

He added: "It has been greenlit by Paramount Pictures, yeah. They say March of 2021 [now July 2021, obviously] but they haven't given me an offer that I can really take seriously yet

"Not to be rude or anything, but... I don't have a contract yet. So we'll see.

"I'm rooting for all the bros. It's just a weird situation. But I love all my Jackass buddies, and I just gotta do it differently this time. They gotta fix it."

Well, it certainly looks like they made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
