Pop star Britney Spears has issued a stark warning to fans about Botox, saying anyone considering the non-surgical cosmetic procedure should ‘be careful’.
The singer, 44, made the comments in an Instagram video, telling her nearly 42 million followers that a doctor had allegedly put so much Botox in her left eye it had drooped and stayed that way for ‘a few weeks’.
Wearing a black hat and red bikini-style top, she pressed her fingers to her left eye telling fans: “He put so much Botox in this left eye that it drooped down like that, and it's just now starting to raise up and be normal again.”
She went on: “Girls, you have to be careful if you do Botox with these people and these doctors, they can really f**k your eyes up. My eye was down like this for like four weeks. It's just now like starting to rise again.”

The …Baby One More Time singer ended her vid saying: “Be careful with these people… they try to change, like, your face. Be careful with your bodies because it's yours and you own it. So that's it.”
Alongside the video she wrote a caption saying: “You can’t trust anyone!!!”.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, Botox injections are said to "improve appearance by relaxing muscles that cause wrinkles."
Her video has the captions turned off but it has been liked by 122,000 people so far.
The hitmaker, whose catalogue also includes songs like Toxic, Gimme More and Oops!... I Did It Again, pleaded guilty in May to a lesser charge after being arrested for driving under the influence. In April she was charged with driving under the combined influence of alcohol and drugs in California. She was arrested on March 5 after she was seen driving “erratically” in her black BMW 430i.
After her arrest, she voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility, with her representative at the time saying the “unfortunate incident” was “completely inexcusable”, adding it would ideally be “the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life”.
They added: “Her boys are going to be spending time with her.
“Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for wellbeing.”

A 13-year conservatorship, which had control of her career decisions and finances, ended in 2021 and reports said that the she had sold part of her rights to her back catalogue in February to music publisher Primary Wave for an unknown fee.
On August 7 she shared a long post on X alongside a picture of her sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden, 19, writing: “I wanna tell my kids and people in general that I’m sorry for my mistakes in the past…”. She said she had also ‘failed as a mother’ because her one son had told her he ‘didn’t personally believe in God’. She also said she was “100 percent brainwashed into an ignorant system where every goddamn person took advantage of me”.
She has also been sharing videos and pictures of herself, with a recent one showing off a green bikini she says she wore while on holiday in Mexico.
