The 'real reason' behind Brooklyn Beckham taking his family feud down the legal route has been revealed, according to reports.

Claims that the famous brood have been at loggerheads first emerged about three years ago, and the battle is apparently still raging on.

Brooklyn's wife Nicola Peltz now appears to have deleted all traces of her in-laws from her social media pages, despite still having their surname attached to her.

The drama is all said to have stemmed from the couple's 2022 wedding, before fans cottoned on to the fact that something was awry after they were noticeably absent from a string of major events involving the Beckhams.

Victoria and David's eldest son then blocked his parents and siblings on Instagram, according to his younger brother Cruz.

Last week, it then emerged that Brooklyn had reportedly sent a 'legal letter' to his parents at the end of last summer which instructed them to contact him 'via lawyers only'.

"He felt his parents continued to ignore his wishes and kept mentioning him online instead of reaching out privately," a source previously told The Sun.

Insiders claimed Brooklyn had similar feelings when his dad David reportedly invited him to attend his knighthood back in November, as he is said to have suspected it was a bid to save face publicly.

Now, fresh claims have surfaced about what prompted the photographer and aspiring chef, 26, to send the legal letter to David and Victoria.

People close to Brooklyn have alleged that online posts made by his parents which tagged or mentioned him were taking a toll on his mental health.

He reportedly would have preferred to sort the beef out 'privately' rather than in the online sphere, while his 'requests to stop' referring to him on social media apparently went ignored.

Over the festive period, former footballer David shared a throwback picture of him and his eldest son on Instagram, while telling all of his four children that he 'loves them all so much'.

A source told the Mirror that these supposed efforts to mend fences have been 'leading to issues with' Brooklyn's mental health, hence why he blocked his relatives online.

"It was to protect himself," the insider claimed, while suggesting that Brooklyn has also grown frustrated as he reckons his mum and dad still treat him like a child.

The source added: "Even the Xmas post by his dad was of Brooklyn as a child."

The husband of Nicola Peltz is also said to have been offended by claims that his spouse is responsible for the row with his family.

"This narrative is so sexist and misogynistic, and he does not stand for his wife being vilified in this way," the source also told the Mirror.

"It’s a story as old as time: blame the woman for the man’s actions. It’s just deeply insulting."
