Anne Hathaway might have had to be patient waiting for Odysseus to come home in Christopher Nolan's new epic but the legendary actress has also shown off some serious commitment in her day-to-day life.
Like many others, the Devil Wears Prada star has turned her back on alcohol, and she's done it for good.
Much like her on-screen son Tom Holland in fact, who even founded a non-alcoholic beer company, such was his desire to give up drinking on a full-time basis, while his new wife Zendaya has also joined him on the sober lifestyle.
It's easy to understand why celebrities, who want to be at their physical peak for the longest possible time, are giving up something which is so bad for their health.

But the average Joe is also starting to have thoughts about sobriety, with the physical and financial toll of just one pint a beer clearly too much for the younger generations to take.

Speaking to Elle, Hathaway explained how she makes her sobriety work after suggesting that she's going to quit for the next 18 years after her second son was born in November 2019.
She said: "And it just felt so extreme to have to say, ‘But none?’ But none. If you’re allergic to something or have an anaphylactic reaction to something, you don’t argue with it. So I stopped arguing with it,' she said.
Hathaway, like many others, wasn't pressured into the decision but simply felt it was the best thing for her, and that's clearly something she continues to enjoy today.
She added: "My personal experience with it is that everything is better. For me, it was wallowing fuel. And I don’t like to wallow. The thing that I have faith in is that everybody else is going to have one or two drinks, and by the time everybody gets to two drinks, you’ll feel like you’ve had two drinks—but without the hangover."
Unsurprisingly, Hathaway and Holland aren't the only Hollywood names to be hangover free, and although it isn't just limited to people whose surnames begin with H, Tom Hardy is also a notable example.
After struggling with addiction to drugs and alcohol in the 2000s, the Peaky Blinders actor said goodbye to his demons.
In an interview with the Daily Mirror in 2017, the 48-year-old said: "If I had four pints of lager and half a bottle of vodka I could turn this room into an absolute f**king nightmare in about three minutes. I could destroy everything in my life I have worked so hard for."

Other big names include Robert Downey Jr, Brad Pitt and Zac Efron and it seems as if giving up alcohol might also be the secret to being very handsome older gentleman.
For Downey Jr, it took a number of arrests, health scares and even jail time until he decided to make a huge change in his life, and he's impressively been sober ever since 2003.
He said: ”For me, I just happened to be in a situation the very last time and I said, "You know what? I don't think I can continue doing this." And I reached out for help and I ran with it, you know?
"Because you can reach out for help in a half-assed way, and you'll get it, and you won't take advantage of it. You know? It's really not that difficult to overcome these seemingly ghastly problems. What’s hard is to decide.”
