Heidi Klum showed off terrifying Halloween costume after 13 hours of prosthetics

Heidi Klum showed off terrifying Halloween costume after 13 hours of prosthetics

Heidi Klum is well-known for her Halloween costumes, and this 2019 effort was a genuine classic

Heidi Klum once spent 13 hours in make-up for one of her most unusual Halloween costumes.

The 50-year-old supermodel is known for her outlandish Halloween costumes, but a lot of people seemed to think this year's effort, which saw Klum dress as a peacock was a little bit 'boring'.

Well, only when you compare it to last year's horrific worm costume, or this one from 2019 where she spent 13 years becoming...whatever that is.

It's not exactly clear what she's supposed to be. A humanoid cyborg? Some sort of Frankenstein's monster interpretation?

Who knows?

One thing we do know is that it took a hell of a lot of time and effort to get her into it.

The whole process took her 13 hours and a dedicated team of make-up artists, prosthetics fitters and many more.

As we've covered, the then-46-year-old supermodel is no stranger to making a statement at the spookiest time of the year.

In fact, for more than 20 years she's really thrown herself into dressing up for her glitzy celebrity Halloween party.

She's previously attended as Princess Fiona from Shrek and Jessica Rabbit, as well as her more unusual efforts.

This one in particular is revolting.

Here's this year's effort.

She had exposed organs, a brain covered by a glass dome, and weird machine-like things poking out of her back.

Oh, and she got ready for it all in front of a live audience.

Yep, the German swimwear model spent the hours leading up to the party in the window of an Amazon store showing everyone exactly how the process was done.

At the time, she announced the move by telling Entertainment Tonight: "This year is my 20th anniversary of my Halloween party, so I thought it would be fun for people to watch live when I get ready.

"On the 34th Street store of Amazon, I'm gonna be sitting in the window and people can just come by all day long and just watch the process if they're interested in seeing something like that."

She continued: "I thought it was fun to do a live art installation - that's what I just want to call it, because, for me, it's life art, what they do to me.

"People can hang out there all day and watch or come in the morning and then shop and come back in the afternoon.

"I'll still be there.

"Come and watch if you want!"

Well, the effect certainly wasn't lost on anyone who attended the party.
