Spider-Man star Tom Holland has opened up about how ADHD impacts his career as an actor.
The 29-year-old found fame playing Peter Parker, a school student who harbours a secret superhero identity after being radioactive spider, which he will reprise in upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
However, Spider-Man isn't the only superhero role which Holland has taken on recently, with the actor also teaming up with LEGO in a campaign about the importance of play.
It was here that Holland opened up on his experience with ADHD and dyslexia, telling IGN that play can be an important tool in helping people express their creativity.

"I think it really does help," Holland said, going on to reveal that due to his diagnoses, sometimes it's difficult when 'developing a character'.
"I have ADHD and I'm dyslexic, and I find sometimes when someone gives me a blank canvas that it can be slightly intimidating," he continued.
"And sometimes you are met with those challenges when developing a character.
"So any way that you can, as a young person or as an adult, interact with something that forces you to be creative and forces you to think outside the box and make changes that might be in an instruction manual or might not be in an instruction manual just promotes healthy creativity."

This is the first time that Holland has spoken about dealing with ADHD, with the NHS explaining that ADHD in adults can often impact a person's ability to 'follow instructions or finish tasks' as well as finding it difficult to effectively manage their time.
Meanwhile, the actor previously discussed his dyslexia diagnosis in an interview with The Sunday Times back in 2019 and during an appearance on Jay Shetty's podcast in 2023.
According to the Uncharted star, he was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of seven, explaining that he'd had issues with 'reading and writing' at school.
Holland's experiences may have also led him to develop a fairly ambitious goal when it comes to education, opening up his own school.

Speaking about the ambition in a recent interview with LADbible, The Odyssey actor explained that he'd like to create a school which offered the same facilities as private education but would be free to the public.
"I have an end goal of what I'd like to do, which is essentially that I'd like to build a school with the best facilities that any school in London can offer, but is totally free and rivals any private school in the country," he said, calling the dream his 'lifelong goal'.
