Tom Holland has spoken about how long he plans to play Spider-Man for in an exclusive new interview with LADbible.
Many still think of Holland as a very young celebrity at just 29; however, it is coming up on a decade of him playing the role, and he has starred as Spider-Man in more movies than any other actor.
The actor has just recently begun shooting the newest film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, in Glasgow. The movie will mark his fourth solo film in the MCU, having also starred in two Avengers movies and his first appearance in Captain America: Civil War.
In addition to this, Holland has joined forces with LEGO to star in a short film as part of their campaign, announced today, called Never Stop Playing.

Speaking about the upcoming Spider-Man solo film, Holland actually revealed that he had been heavily involved in creating his own suit for this film.
He said in an exclusive interview with LADbible about the film: “What's been really fun about this most recent movie is designing the suit and being a part of that process and understanding what we wanted to try and achieve.”
He added that he had focused on ‘the story behind the suit’, adding that he found the process of deciding the specifics of details such as ‘why the suit is red and blue’ exciting.
When asked about whether there were any specific comic inspirations, Holland was tight-lipped, saying that it might be a spoiler to reference which inspired the new suit.

The Uncharted star was, at one point, quite well known for being unable to keep from giving away spoilers in the lead-up to Marvel films.
This includes notable interviews where he gave away sequences in Spider-Man: Homecoming, revealed that Spider-Man would meet the Guardians of the Galaxy in Avengers: Infinity War, and even let slip that a third film was in production in one interview.
Now, however, Holland is clearly far more media-trained, as he gave a slightly vague answer to how much longer he can play Spider-Man, but the answer is quite telling.
When asked about this, he said: “I think with anything, it's all about what's in front of you, and right now what's in front of us is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and focusing on making that movie worthy of the last film.

“I have been actively sifting through the internet and trying to best understand what it is that the fans want from a Spider-Man movie, and that's been my driving force in these pitch meetings.
“I think the producers, at times were like, absolutely sick of me, but I think it's really important, because we make these movies for [the fans].”
Whilst The Impossible star was excited by what they have coming in the newest film, he added: “In terms of my future in the character beyond this film, I don't know the answer to that.”
Holland’s unwillingness to discuss beyond Brand New Day may come as a surprise to fans, with Spider-Man widely expected to play a major role in Avengers: Secret Wars, the follow-up to Avengers: Doomsday.
As well as this, there have been rumours suggesting he may have agreed to a new deal to star in a fifth and sixth solo film.

In the meantime, however, the actor is booked and busy, starring in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey as well as LEGO’s new short film Never Stop Playing.
The project saw him able to work alongside his brothers, Sam and Harry, to send a message about the importance of play and imagination at any age.
He stated in his exclusive interview with LADbible that the name of the campaign excited him, as that’s ‘how he lives his life’.
He went on to say that he felt it was a really important campaign due to the prevalence of social media, adding: “You go to dinner now and you see young kids sat at the dinner table just on their phones, and they losing the ability to communicate with one another.

“I think that play is a great icebreaker for that sort of thing and I think that what the LEGO Group is doing with this new campaign is really inspiring.”
