A medical professional has opened up about the health benefits of Elon Musk's choice of breakfast.

We've all heard the age old saying that 'breakfast is the most important meal of the day'.

Though these days, it often causes conflicting arguments, as some will say it goes against their attempts to lose weight, or to fast.

Intermitting fasting, for instance, consists of consuming your food within a certain time window, which limits how much you can eat.

The most popular window is an eight-hour period after breakfast, followed by a 16-hour fast before you can eat again.

However, a study conducted by the American Heart Association found that 'people who followed an eight-hour, time-restricted eating schedule were more likely to die from cardiovascular disease'.

While the debate on breakfast will go on, the X boss, 53, recently took to the platform to share what his first meal of the day is and many were in favour with the high-protein choice.

"Wow, steak & eggs with coffee in the morning really feels like a powerup!" Musk tweeted on 17 July.

Replying in the comments, one user said: "Careful though, a high protein diet has been linked to massive gains and being awesome."

"Actually cooking some up myself right now," said another.

Meanwhile, Dr Hamdan Abdullah Hamed from Power Your Curls, has revealed the advantages and drawbacks of the Tesla founder's meal.

"This meal can provide a substantial amount of protein and fats, which might make someone feel energised and satiated," he told the Mirror.

"Steak and eggs are rich in protein, which is essential for muscle repair and growth, and they also contain important vitamins and minerals like iron, vitamin B12, and choline.

"Coffee, on the other hand, can boost alertness and focus due to its caffeine content.

"However, it's important to consider the balance of nutrients in any meal.

"While this breakfast can be beneficial for short-term energy, it may lack essential components like fibre, which is crucial for digestive health, and a variety of vitamins and minerals found in fruits and vegetables.

"Incorporating a wider range of food groups into breakfast can ensure a more balanced intake of nutrients, supporting overall health in the long term."

The NHS agree that a 'balanced diet' is the most important thing.

The health service advise us to try and eat 'at least 5 portions of a variety of fruit and vegetables every day'.

They also suggest that you choose 'meals on higher fibre starchy foods like potatoes, bread, rice or pasta' and to avoid 'having foods and drinks that are high in fat, salt and sugar' too often.
