Frankie Muniz's estranged wife shares cryptic post after star says he's hit 'rock bottom'

Frankie Muniz's estranged wife Paige Price has shared a cryptic message on social media after he opened up about hitting 'rock bottom'.

Taking to Instagram on Friday (September 18), Price posted a video of herself making a wax seal set to an acoustic version of The Goo Goo Dolls' track Iris.

"Life is all about perspective. If you ask the grass, the zebra is the monster and the lion is the protector," she penned.

The post came only hours after Muniz, 40, shared a lengthy message to his fans, detailing the 'nightmare' he has been experiencing in recent weeks.

"The last 6 weeks of my life have been a nightmare I'm praying to wake up from," he began.

"Everything has felt heavy, unclear, and like it has been falling apart at the same time. I wouldn't wish this season on anyone.

"The unexpected gift in the middle of it is that I've had nowhere to hide," Muniz continued.

He went on to explain that after an intense period of 'self-reflection', he can now see the areas of his life that 'need work' to help him become a 'better version' of himself.

The Malcolm in the Middle star went on: "I read that sometimes hitting rock bottom is the thing that wakes you up. It forces the changes you need to make all along so you can live the best life possible."

He added that he wants to begin doing the 'uncomfortable, unglamorous, necessary work' and encouraged anyone in the midst of a similar low point to 'keep going'.

The actor's public confession comes after he and Price ended their marriage in July. They had been together for 10 years and married in 2019.

Explaining the split in a statement, Muniz said he and Price had made the decision after a private period of separation.

“After 10 beautiful years together, we’ve grown in ways that made us realise our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents. We share an incredible son who remains the centre of our world, and we’re both happier, stronger parents because of the love and growth we’ve shared," he added.

The dad-of-one said he was 'endlessly grateful' to Price for all she'd done for him and their family, branding her his 'biggest supporter'.

Muniz said: "We’re excited to keep building Muniz Racing together and to co-parent our boy with the same teamwork and love we’ve always had.

“We’re closing one chapter with gratitude and opening the next with bright futures ahead, for us as individuals and especially for our son.”
