Jason Kelce slams student's phone into the ground after homophobic comment made about brother Travis dating Taylor Swift

American football star Jason Kelce, the brother of Travis Kelce, appeared to throw someone's phone to the ground in an altercation after they used a homophobic slur to refer to his brother's relationship with Taylor Swift.

It has likely not escaped your notice that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are a couple, with their respective fame dovetailing to the point that their relationship is one of the most well known on the planet.

Both have legions of fans, though Swift's are likely to be significantly larger, who are now supporting, rooting, stanning and having various other parasocial interactions.

However, the couple evidently has their detractors, as someone used a homophobic slur to describe the relationship in the presence of Travis's brother Jason.

The NFL player had been walking in State College, Pennsylvania, when he was surrounded by people, many of them with phones out and filming him.

While some people tried to get a fist bump off the Philadelphia Eagles star, one person in the crowd around Jason Kelce had a very different type of interaction in mind.

Footage posted onto social media showed Jason walking on his way when someone screamed a homophobic slur at him over his brother Travis' relationship with singer Taylor Swift.

In the footage, the person shouted: "Hey Kelce! How do you feel your brother's a f****t dating Taylor Swift?"

In the video, the NFL star then turned around and plucked the guy's phone out of his hand, throwing it to the ground.

Another video of the incident showed that Jason then picked up the guy's phone from the ground and walked off with it.

According to NBC, a further piece of footage showed Kelce confronting an individual and asking them 'who's the f****t now'.

Jason once faced off against his brother Travis in Super Bowl LVII, making it the first time brothers were opposing each other in the fixture, as Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs walked away the winners.

However, Jason appeared to have been very able to celebrate his brother's Super Bowl achievements at an afterparty following a Chiefs victory against the San Francisco 49ers, as he was spotted having the time of his life with a Mexican wrestling mask on.

For some people who are very much plugged into the Travis and Taylor relationship, their favourite part has been 'discovering Jason'.
