Kristen Bell reveals odd way Dax Shephard 'flirts with her' by complimenting other women in front of her
Kristen Bell and Dax Shephard have once again given an insight into their marriage just a year Shephard’s controversial comments about monogamy, this time to explain how he compliments other women to flirt with her.
Bell appeared on Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast to promote her hit Netflix show Nobody Wants This where she stars alongside Adam Brody as a woman dating a Rabbi trying to decide whether to convert to Judaism and dealing with the relationship troubles that come from this.
It is the biggest TV series on Netflix in the US right now and Bell appeared on the podcast alongside her co-stars to talk about the show.
As the series is so focused on relationship’s though, the topic naturally drifts to Bell and Shephard discussing their own unique quirks, such as how she knows he is flirting with her when he compliments female waiters.

Shephard and Bell were discussing with the cast whether they will often compliment others unprompted, leading the Frozen actor to reveal that ‘this is how she often knows he’s flirting with her’.
She explained: “If we go to a dinner or something, like there's a couple things Dax does where he doesn't have to look up and wink at me, but I know that he's just being the best boy.
“We'll be at dinner and like he'll say to the waiter or waitress, he'll go, ‘Wow, you have incredible eyelashes, gorgeous eyes. Great job.’”
When Shephard’s co-host Monica Padman suggested this was flirting with them, Bell responded: “That’s flirting with me. He just made someone else feel good. Cuz he's going to have zero interaction with it. Let's say it is a girl.
“He's going to have zero interaction with this girl for the rest of his life. The chances of him ever having another conversation with her are so microscopic.
“But to me to know that my partner actively smiles at people and gives them compliments.”
She later claimed he had never complimented anyone in a way that felt ‘borderline’, pointing out that it’s ‘always great eyebrows or great cheekbones’, saying that it gives her ‘butterflies’ that he gives people compliments and makes them feel good.
Bell added: “I’m with the guy that’s pouring compliments and making them feel good.”
This is not the first time the pair have spoken about their slightly unconventional view on relationships, with Bell making headlines when she said she is ‘quite positive’ people are not meant to be monogamous, even though herself and Shephard are.
She also told The Sun last year that she wouldn’t be bothered if he cheated, saying: “Kind of who cares, to be honest? I also know we’re monkeys. We’re both attracted to other people. We’re married. We’re not dead.”
