JoJo Siwa responds to 'PR relationship' claims after confirming Chris Hughes relationship with intimate selfie
JoJo Siwa has responded to claims that her dating Chris Hughes is a ‘PR relationship’ following her confirmation that the pair are dating.
Hughes posted a loved-up selfie of the pair on his Snapchat story yesterday, both seemingly naked in bed together.
This of course sent rumours that the pair were set to confirm their relationship into overdrive, something that Siwa finally did in an interview today with The Guardian.
The pair were shown to be incredibly close and intimate whilst appearing on Celebrity Big Brother together, though Siwa was dating now ex-partner Kath Ebbs at the time.

Following a break-up at the show’s wrap party, Siwa and Hughes have been sharing progressively more intimate photos of one another to the point where it was essentially considered an open secret.
That has not, however, stopped fans online from speculating that the pair are simply bigging it up for good PR.
Fans online have been the main ones pushing the narrative, with several taking to X to share their thoughts on the matter.
One posted on X, saying: “Sorry surely JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes has to be PR why am i seeing their snap stories constantly coming up.”
Another said: “I'm just gonna say it, I think that JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes relationship is a PR one.”
A third posted similarly skeptical sentiment on social media, however this time laid the accusation at the feet of just one of the pair. They said: “JoJo Siwa is down BADDDD for Chris Hughes but he’s just along for the PR ride, can’t change my mind.”
Siwa addressed the claims in the same interview in which she confirmed that the pair were dating.
When asked in a sit-down interview with The Guardian about claims it was all a ‘PR Stunt’, she said: “Clearly, you’ve never been around us. I won’t ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now.
“Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I’ve never [before] been in pain from smiling so much.”
This came shortly after she confirmed the pair were dating after weeks of speculation.
Despite previously stating on This Morning after leaving the Big Brother house that they were ‘platonic soulmates’, this has now progressed.
She said: “It’s not platonic anymore, and it’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I’m absolutely head over heels for him and he’s the same way.”
Hughes, who deleted the intimate photo of the pair shortly after posting, has yet to comment since it was announced by Siwa that they were together.
He has, however, flown out to Mexico to support her at a recent concert, and was pictured meeting her family.
