Kim Kardashian opened up about her eldest daughter's bold fashion choices and explained why she lets the 12-year-old experiment with her style.
Wrangling a pre-teen is tough as it is, but when they've got a wardrobe like North West, it's probably a lot more difficult to dictate how she dresses.
As the offspring of style icons Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, she was always going to be a trendsetter - but it seems not everyone is a fan of her choices.
Months after debuting a controversial body modification, North has turned heads once again by showing off her daring new look.

She recently shared snaps online of her sporting bright blue braids, two fake face tattoos, a few more piercings and a black grill in her mouth.
It's certainly quite the grown up look for a girl of her age... however, her mother has defended her 'mature' fashion choices and explained why she supports the youngster's kookiness.
Kim addressed the criticism that North has received while growing up in the public eye during an appearance on Alex Cooper's Call Me Daddy podcast on 15 October.
The reality TV star and businesswoman seems to believe that her child is held to a different standard than others.
"It's really hard and it's really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things," the mother-of-four said. "But then my daughter tries to wear it and then I'm like, 'Okay, we're never wearing that again'.
"Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world."
Discussing North controversially donning a corset and mini skirt during a trip to Rome earlier this year, the Skims boss, 45, explained that this outfit was quite out of the ordinary as the pre-teen 'dresses like a tomboy most of the time'.
"She wanted to try something that her friends were wearing and went to the same place that they went to," Kim continued. "And it's just like, 'Okay, wait, maybe you can't wear that'... you know?
"So, as a mum, you're kind of learning at the same time. But what I do know is my baby's such a good girl and such a sweet girl.
"The things that she has experienced, where she might have been outspoken or did something, she learns from that.
"She does listen to me but in other areas I'm like, 'Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is'. It makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her."
The socialite - who also shares kids Saint, Chicago and Psalm with ex-husband Kanye - then revealed what North thinks of people who find fault with her fashion choices.
Kim explained: "She's really mature in one sense, where she'll be like, 'Mum, I saw this and I don't really care if someone says they don't like my blue hair, or my this or that'.
"She's really confident and is like, 'I probably wouldn't be hanging out with those people... like if you saw what they look like and what they're wearing!' I just think anyone that's raising kids, especially four kids by myself, I'm doing the best that I can and my babies are good babies.
"So, I just urge everyone to not be judgmental and to have grace on single mums trying to figure it all out with a pre-teen. It's a lot."
