Celebrity Traitors has two episodes to go and if you’d asked me on Friday night, I would’ve said that the faithful have zero hope of winning.
A new leak however has indicated that tonight’s penultimate episode of Celebrity Traitors season two is set to have a ‘bombshell’ revelation which will completely change the show, leading many fans to go back to the drawing board about what’s set to happen.
Last episode ended with all three traitors being voted the ‘most faithful’ and Kiny Kenny given a double vote, with the roundtable vote split between sending home Joanne McNally and Sharon Rooney, both of whom are faithful.
This was widely considered the worst episode for faithful in the history of The Traitors, but The Sun are reporting that tonight’s instalment will change the entire course of the series and be ‘BAFTA-worthy television’.

A TV insider told the newspaper that the twist is one that ‘no one would see coming’ that is the ‘likes of which the show has never seen before’.
There are a few options for what this could be, but one popular theory online that could explain this places Romesh Ranganathan as ‘the key’ to the faithful winning.
An episode one theory has resurfaced which, if Romesh follows it, could be James Acaster’s downfall

A Reddit theory explains how Romesh is ‘the key’ to the faithful winning, pointing to the early theory that there had to be a comedian traitor.
This has fallen to the background a bit but resurfaced when last episode Romesh said he didn’t think Sharon or Joanne were traitors.
Knowing he himself is not a traitor, and holding on to the idea that Joanne wasn’t, that only leaves one remaining option in the castle: James Acaster.
The fan said in their post: “I actually think Romesh is the best suited to get the faithfuls into the final and prevent a traitors shutout. It's not an easy route.
“Not only does he have to find the comedians theory, he has to get the heat off of Joanne, Joanne has to both buy the theory and then trust Romesh over James A, and they have to prevent the group from backlash-banishing either Michael Sheen or James Blunt when it turns out that Sharon was innocent. But I actually have confidence Romesh can do it.”
If the faithful do a U-turn after banishing another of their own all three traitors could be caught at once

If you’re asking, ‘what has never happened in The Traitors before’, the idea of all three traitors being caught out in one episode surely must be up there.
The faithful will have to go back to the drawing board no matter who they banish at the start of this episode as both Joanne and Sharon are faithful.
Considering their catastrophic run of form since Hannah Fry and Richard E Grant were banished it would be logical to ask who they had overlooked as possible traitors and revisit the idea it could be them.
If they do this the first place the faithful would start is logical: the three traitors who they unwittingly picked as the ‘most faithful’ amongst them.
With the first domino falling of a potential banishment of one of these three at the end of the episode, it could spell doom for the traitors as a whole if the faithful are able to make this U-turn in their thinking.
Traitors throw one of their own under the bus

Whether spurred by Romesh figuring out James could be a traitor, a U-Turn that puts all three of them under the spotlight, or even just the traitors getting paranoid they were going to get found out, the most drama-filled option would probably be the traitors turning on their own.
My personal pick would be James being thrown under the bus by Kenny and Maya Jama as retribution for his refusal to help with the blindfolded task which almost saw Maya found out by Miranda.
This could be a surefire way for the pair to solidify their spots heading into the final episode, and would be a great cliffhanger that throws the game wide open.
Celebrity Traitors returns tonight on BBC One at 8pm.
