Dax Shepard has been accused of crossing a line after making a 'creepy' comment about Sabrina Carpenter.
People reckon that the actor and comedian was a bit too complimentary about the 26-year-old singer during a recent episode of his Armchair Expert podcast.
Shepard, 51, revealed he has become 'newly obsessed' with the pop star while sitting down with Saturday Night Live star Marcello Hernandez.
He blamed his sudden love of Carpenter's music on his daughters Lincoln, 12, and 11-year-old Delta - who he shares with wife Kristen Bell.

Shepard explained last year that his youngest child had been forcing him to bop along to her Short n’ Sweet album on the school run, resulting in him joining 'the Sabrina train'.
The father-of-two mentioned how fond he was of the former Disney star while chatting with Hernandez, who has worked with her in the past.
Carpenter has made a few appearances on SNL over the years, and she has performed a recurring sketch alongside Hernandez centred around his alter-ego 'Domingo'.

At the time, footage of their skit went viral - and Hernandez also made an appearance at one of her concert's in Los Angeles in November 2024.
During Carpenter's last tour, she would put the spotlight on a celebrity in the audience and 'arrest' them for being too attractive before beginning her hit song 'Juno'.
She'd wave a pair of fuzzy pink handcuffs at them and engage in a bit of flirty back and forth, and following the success of the SNL skit, Hernandez took part while in character as Domingo.
Given this shared connection and his own 'obsession' with her, Shepard brought Carpenter up during Hernandez's appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast.
The Without a Paddle actor said: "If I'm you again and I'm 28, I'm going to try to date [Carpenter] with all my might. Are you not trying your hardest to marry her?"
Seen as though he is a married man who is 25-years older than the Pennsylvania-born singer, people reckon that Shepard's remark was a bit strange.
A lot of social media users seem to believe that the comment was 'disrespectful' towards his spouse Bell, who he got hitched to in 2013 after they met in 2007.

One person said in a post on X: "Dax is such a creep and disrespectful af to his wife."
Another wrote: "It’s a bad look for a married man to be that obsessed with a pop star's love life."
A third added: "Just because he can't respect his relationship doesn't mean everyone thinks like him," while a fourth chimed in saying: "Dax Shepard is being a creepy uncle again."
To make things even more awkward, Shepard's guest didn't really humour his line of inquiry - as Hernandez responded by reminding the podcast host that he is already spoken for.
The funnyman, 28, said: "I’m in a relationship. Yeah, I'm in a relationship with a Dominican girl. She’s an architect. She’s unreal. She went to Yale." (FYI lads, that's the only appropriate answer to that question.)
Hernandez has reportedly been dating architect, sculptor and furniture Designer Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral since last year.

Still, the comedian said he had a blast with Carpenter on SNL and praised her for being 'down to clown', adding: "She's down to think of something funny. She's an actress.
"Sabrina's awesome and she's really funny and cool. She's great. The Domingo thing was big, and she was all about it, and it was so cool."
Hernandez also told Shepard that being fake arrested at her gig was 'an unreal experience'.
It's not the first time that the dynamic of Shepard's marriage to Bell has hit the headlines, as the actress raised eyebrows last year after claiming she 'wouldn't bat an eyelid' if her husband cheated on her.
Music legend Cher also shared her thoughts on their unique relationship set-up recently too - telling Shepard that he's a 'lucky' bloke and that Bell is 'definitely the better half'.
LADbible has contacted Shepard's representatives for comment.
