Kate Cassidy has hit back at trolls claiming she no longer loves Liam Payne after getting tattoos that pay tribute to him removed.
Former One Direction star Liam Payne suddenly died after he fell from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16, 2024.
At that point, Payne and Cassidy, 27, had been in a relationship for two years, and she was left devastated by his death, learning in notes he gave her that he planned to ask her to marry him within a year.
In the near two years since his death, Cassidy has paid tribute to Payne by getting a series of tattoos inked on her skin in his honour.

They include his initials of LP, a rose, angel wings and the number 444, which holds special significance as it is their angel number.
However, she visited a studio on Wednesday, July 29, and began the process to get the 444 removed.

Now Cassidy has responded to comments on social media which claimed 'she don't love him anymore.'
Speaking in a TikTok video, Cassidy said: "Okay, I knew that some of you guys would be offended at the fact I decided, or I'm deciding, to laser off these tattoos on my body.
"The only reason I'm lasering off these tattoos is literally just because they're too thick for my liking."
'The meaning behind all my tattoos are so, so special to me'
Cassidy has already explained why she was getting the tattoos erased, writing on an Instagram picture of the laser machine doing its work: “Decided to get some tattoos removed that were done poorly.
“Will be getting redone eventually.”
However, she's felt the need to explain herself again amid comments questioning her actions.
She continued in the video: "They're the first tattoos I ever received, I've already talked about this before, and I went somewhere really random.
"I asked for a thin line tattoo, I was expecting something more like this," she added, pointing towards a different tattoo on her hand.
"Very faint, very fine."

She then pointed towards the now-faded tattoo that has begun the process of removal, and said: "I ended up getting this thick, bulky, whatever."
Cassidy then reiterated that she plans to get the tattoos done again but with much better quality this time.
She said: "And listen, the meaning behind all my tattoos are so, so special to me.
"So I'm not lasering them off for any other means other than the fact that I'm going to get them redone somewhere else that has experience in fine line tattoos and just get them moved down."

Finishing her message to the critics, Cassidy concluded by saying: "So, Bye," before pouting at the camera.
Why 444 means so much to Cassidy and Payne
Writing on social media in 2024, Cassidy revealed the significance of the number 444 to the couple, writing: "A few weeks ago, we sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together.
“I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it. It said, ‘Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged & together forever 444'.
“Liam, I know we’ll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned. You’ll always be with me. I’ve gained a guardian angel.
“I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me everywhere I go. Forever yours, Katelyn 444."
Angels numbers are a repeating sequence of three-four numbers, that tend to be repeated or in a clearly recognisable pattern, that carry a symbolic meaning for people.
