Lizzo has explained why she won’t reveal the exact amount of weight she has lost.
Despite her right to privacy, the singer’s body size and shape has often been a topic of public discussion with the 37-year-old known for spreading body positivity.
But while sharing clips of her workouts and healthy meals on social media, Lizzo has regularly been hit with allegations she has used Type-2 diabetes drug Ozempic – something she has denied.

Back in September 2024, the ‘Rumors’ singer shared a video, sighing into the camera with the caption: “When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.”
Of course, there’s no shame in using the drug for weight loss (which is not available on prescription in the UK), as many celebrities speak openly about their experiences with it.

But Lizzo has made it clear that the injectable is not a contributor to her dramatic weight loss.
She’s spoken openly about her journey and taking on a ‘calorie deficit’ after being prone to ‘binging’ food and drink.

And during an appearance on The Jason Lee Show, the ‘Good as Hell’ singer hit out at those trying to put figures on her weight loss as she spoke about her previous experiences.
“I think it was crazy to people because I was fat,” she said, claiming she got trolled for having confidence as a plus-sized woman.
“The shocking factor was that people couldn't believe that someone that looked like me was confident.”
Iconically, Lizzo said she was ‘fine as f**k’ when she was bigger, demonstrating her clear confidence then and now in her figure.
When it was asked just how much weight she had shaved off, she told the host they’re ‘crazy’.

“Because I don’t want people to clock my tea... If I said the number, I don’t think people could do the math,” she explained.

Lizzo then went on to hit out at those fixated on knowing her exact weight.
“Why are y’all putting a number on me,” she asked. “It kind of annoys me so part of me is like should I say the number to dead it? Or should I leave it a mystery?”
During a TikTok Live in recent months, the singer said she is sure to avoid ‘sugary stuff’ in the mornings.

“I do something sweet. It's gotta be with some sort of like carb,” she explained. “I'll have like almond butter and toast. So, everybody's body is different. Find out what works for you.”
