Oasis returned to play their first show in over 15 years this week, with many fans saying its the best they have sounded since the 1990s.

The iconic Britpop band from Manchester have long been regarded as one of the best to come out of Britain, boasting iconic hits such as 'Wonderwall' and 'Champagne Supernova'.

They've faced some backlash in their reunion tour so far, with ticket costs proving to be the biggest issue for fans - and while those in Wales weren't too happy with one of Liam's cheeky comments, the general consensus is that they're bringing back the sounds of happier times from the 90s.

Many will wish that they could have seen the band back then, but one music journalist from the US had the honour of meeting and partying with Noel on a number of occasions before the millennium.

Lily Moayeri, from California, first met Noel back in 1992 and now she's revealed exactly what he's like on a night out, while speaking on the Pictures of Lily Podcast.

She said: "I first met Noel in 1992 when he was a roadie for the Inspiral Carpets, the Inspirals were apart of the Manchester craze which was happening at the start of that decade.

"My interview with their guitarist Graham Lambert was my second ever interview and they were my second favourite band at the time, so I was very excited.

"After the Inspiral's show Graham and the band invited me and my friends to hang out at a nearby bar, it was here that we were first exposed to the entity that is Noel Gallagher."

She went on: "Noel was so loud, so talkative and such a show off, he was dominating the whole place, he was very very funny and he had us in stitches the whole time.

"He kept on saying loads of negative stuff about the Inspiral Carpets and he said he was going to have a band 'a hundred times better' and he kept on telling us how much they were paying him to be a roadie."

While the Inspiral Carpets were part of the Madchester movement, there's no doubt that the Gallagher brothers would go on to better their success, and their reunion tour is proof of just how popular they remain across the world.

Lily also spoke in depth about an occasion where they went to buy cigarettes together, and how she feels he changed in 1997, with her interviews from that point feeling less fun and more rushed.

Nine years after she interviewed Noel in 2000, where he revealed that he planned to leave the band, Oasis officially split up.

Lily concluded: "The thing that I found with Noel is, he doesn't have deep seated loyalties, he has people who are loyal to him but he could drop his end of it without any explanation or reason instantly.

"There is always that fear surrounding him, I wasn't surprised when they other members of Oasis didn't follow him when the band broke up."
