A woman has been arrested after police said that she fired several shots at a Beverly Hills mansion, which is home to Rihanna.

Authorities reported that one of these shots went through a wall of the California home, as the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) revealed to The Los Angeles Times that they had a report of 'shots fired' at the residence at 1.21pm on Sunday 8 March.

The woman who fired these shots at the pop star's home was then arrested, with the 30-year-old being taken into custody without incident - a weapon was recovered.

According to the source, Rihanna was home at the time but no injuries have been reported.

An LAPD representative stated: "This is an active LAPD Robbery Homicide Division investigation."

A source confirmed to People that Rihanna was home at the time of the shooting, though it is unclear if her rapper partner or her children RZA, Riot, or Rocki, were home.

They added that the 'Umbrella' singer is 'okay', as Police Sgt. Jonathan de Vera, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), confirmed that multiple rounds were fired from the suspect's vehicle towards Rihanna's home.

No injuries were reported following the incident, and an LAPD radio dispatch for the incident also revealed that first responders heard 'approximately 10 shots' at the residence from a white Tesla, which was across the street.

The car then fled south on Coldwater Canyon Drive.

Police searched for the Tesla, with details of the suspect heard over the radio, with the suspect's hair said to be in braids, while she wore a cream-coloured bouse, and her car was dirty ont he bottom.

Soon after, officers in a helicopter spotted her vehicle and followed it to a shopping centre parking lot in Sherman Oaks.

The suspect was then arrested about 30 minutes after the 911 call, according to the radio correspondence.

Armen Arias, an LAPD spokesperson, said to the LA Times: “When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings.”

Police also found bullet holes in a gate at the mansion, as well as in an RV which was parked in the drivewat.

Investigations are ongoing into the shooting, with the colonial-style mansion in the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood being taped off by officers in the wake of the crime.
