Russell Brand has addressed his ex-wife Katy Perry's new boyfriend Justin Trudeau.
The comedian and political commentator, 50, was married to the 'Dark Horse' hitmaker, 41, for two years from 2010 to 2012.
Perry revealed to Vogue in 2013 that it was Brand who ended things via text.
“He’s a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him,” she said at the time.

“Let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me [on] 31 December, 2011.
“At first when I met him he wanted an equal, and I think a lot of times strong men do want an equal, but then they get that equal and they’re like, I can’t handle the equalness.”
In 2016, she was dating actor Orlando Bloom, and after a brief breakup in 2017, they reunited and got engaged two years later.

After welcoming their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, in 2020, the pair called off their engagement in June of this year.
A month later, Perry was spotted with Trudeau, the former Prime Minister of Canada, on a date in Montreal.
"They are interested in each other, but it will take a while to see where this goes,” a source told People. “She is traveling around the world, and he is figuring out his life now that he is no longer prime minister of Canada, but there is an attraction. They have a lot in common.”
The pair made their public debut in October at a cabaret show to celebrate her birthday, before going Instagram official earlier this month.

On Thursday (18 December), Brand decided to bring up his ex's new partner at a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix.
While addressing the crowd, he said: “Look, Katy Perry, I was married to her. I love her still, and I’m glad that her mom’s in the room to hear me say this, but look.
“I was okay with Orlando Bloom, but Justin Trudeau? Come on, man! Don’t put me in a category with that guy! That globalist stooge.”

Earlier this year, the British actor was charged with five counts of assault and rape from allegations stemming from four women.
Brand pled 'not guilty' and denied the allegations on his YouTube channel in September, saying: “I’ve received two extremely disturbing letters, or a letter and an email, one from a mainstream media TV company, one from a newspaper, listing a litany of extremely egregious and aggressive attacks.
“But amidst this litany of astonishing, rather baroque attacks, are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute.”
