Snoop Dogg’s professional blunt roller will be out of job after rapper ‘quits weed’

Snoop Dogg’s professional blunt roller will be out of job after rapper ‘quits weed’

The rapper announced he was 'giving up smoke’

If there’s one job you’d assume was safe for life, surely it would be Snoop Dogg’s joint roller - but it seems that she could be out of a job after the legendary rapper said he was ‘giving up smoke’.

Yep, in case you missed it, the 52-year-old took to social media today (November 16) to say: “I’m giving up smoke.

"After much consideration & conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke.

"Please respect my privacy at this time."

Fans responded to the post with shock, with one person commenting: "Damn, the world is really really coming to an end.”

Another posted: “Today isn’t April Fools day Snoop."

And it's easy to understand why fans were surprised - this is the man who who was once accused of 'smoking between 75 and 150 joints each day'.

In fact, he smoked so much weed he even employed his very own joint roller - a woman named Renegade Piranha.

She appeared on The Review podcast with Yarmacrazy, where she discussed how she managed to get involved in working for Snoop.

Renegade recalled: “I knew a girl that knew the grow that was dealing using Snoop’s Premium Nutrients, which is a brand he has of really amazing premium nutrients for you to grow really amazing... premium things with.

“So they were looking for someone to roll up for him, versus them just gifting him all the tree, and the girl - I guess – told these people, like, ‘Yo, I know this chick. She rolls the best blunts. You guys should have her do it'.”

The woman she knew was trying to get her to go for it for about a month, but Renegade wasn’t sure the opportunity was legit.

Snoop also revealed he paid the roller ‘somewhere between $40,000 and $50,000 a year’, along with perks like ‘free weed’ and ‘all paid expenses’.
