Quinton Aaron may well be best known for being in The Blind Side but the American actor was given the shock of his life when waking up from a coma recently.
After starring in the lead role as Michael Oher alongside Sandra Bullock in the 2009 sports film, the actor has gone on to appear in a multitude of other movies, but was forced to take a break due to health issues earlier this year.
In January, he was hospitalised in Atlanta after suffering from a spinal stroke and he was later placed on life support.
Had he been in the coma for many years, it might not have been too surprising if his wife had chosen to remarry, but Quinton was in the coma for just four days when he woke to some surprising news.

Quinton was informed by his family that his wife Margarita DeLeon was still married to another man, despite her suggesting otherwise.

After waking up, Quinton told ABC News: "The entire time we were together, she told me she had been divorced for 10 plus years," he said. "She even told the person where we were getting married, 'Oh yes, I have all the documents. I can email over to you the divorce decree.'
"And that's what eventually led to the doctors removing her from around me," he shared.
After getting married in 2024, his wife Margarita DeLeon wasn't too keen on finding a new husband just yet, as it turned out that it was down to her previous divorce not being properly finalised.
She clarified: "When I told Quinton back in the hospital bed, and I want to be very honest about this, I feel like this needs to be said and brought out there. I said to him, I said, 'Bibi, this information that your family pulled up on me, you know, I wasn't aware of it.' I said, 'This is what I found out. It is true'."

DeLeon had originally married all the way back in 1992 and she presumed that her divorce was final, with her ex-husband collaborating her claims, confirming that their divorce was officially sorted a month later.
Although Quinton suggested that he'd done a bit more due diligence on his wife-to-be, he confirmed that he still loves her, so hopefully the couple will be able to work things out soon, but it seems as if the actor is focused on his recovery for now.
However, there are still some further challenges for Quinton to overcome, as he must re-learn to walk after his serious spine injury.
"The doctors projected that it could take months, it could be a year, or up to a year," Quinton said of regaining his ability to walk. "And I said, 'I don't claim that time frame. I'll be walking a lot sooner than you think.' You know, and that's just how I believe. … That's how, you know, between me, my faith, and my relationship with God."
