Who is Thylane Blondeau?
The daughter of retired French footballer Patrick Blondeau and TV presenter Véronika Loubry, Blondeau began her modelling career as a young child.
She was discovered by a scout for Jean-Paul Gautlier whie walking with her mum down the Champs-Élysées aged three,
Blondeau told The Telegraph: "My mum said, 'No, she's not with an agency, she can't do this.' 'Jean Paul Gaultier said, 'She has to be there tomorrow.' So Mum was like, 'Why not?'"
She is best known for a 2006 Vogue Enfants editorial which referred to her as 'the most beautiful girl in the world'.
She continued to model throughout her childhood, even walking on the runway for Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, and L'Oréal.

Controversy around child modelling
At 10 years old, Blondeau was at the centre of a controversy surrounding a 2011 photoshoot published in the French Vogue supplement, which featured her in adult clothing and make-up, prompting widespread backlash about the sexualisation of children.
Responding to the fallout, her mum Loubry told a local outlet: "The only thing that shocks me about the photo is the necklace that she's wearing, which is worth €3m [£2.5m]."
But ABC News reported at the time that Blondeau's Facebook fan page swiftly closed down, with Loubry writing: "Thylane doesn't know about the buzz and i want to protect her from the deapest [sic] of my heart ,,, she's so young."

In 2018, Vogue made it a policy not to book models aged under 18.
In more recent years, Blondeau has distanced herself from the 'most beautiful girl' title as well as launching a now-defunct clothing line, Heaven May, and more recently a haircare brand.
She also still models as well as spending her days posting snaps of her lavish lifestyle on social media.
In December last year Blondeau revealed the heartbreaking news that her stepfather Gérard Kadoche had passed away from cancer after being diagnosed with the disease in April 2023.
In a tribute to Kadoche shared on Instagram, she wrote: "My Gégé. If you only knew how much we already miss you… We're so miserable without you.

"You hold such an important place in my heart, in my life. I'm so grateful for everything you taught me, for everything you did for my mom, my little brother, and me. Life without you will never be the same."
Since the news of her engagement broke, fans of the model have since rushed to congratulate her over the happy news, with several friends and followers leaving their well wishes in the comments.

"OMG!!! This is MAJOR! Congratulations to the most beautiful couple!!!" read one comment, while a second person wrote: "Incredible!! couldn’t think of a better pairing, congrats guys."
"NO WAYYYY THYYYYY!!!!!!! congratulations sis," added a third user, alongside a string of heart emojis.
