Zendaya and Robert Pattinson left some fans feeling slightly worried after a photo of the pair was published announcing their 'engagement'.
Tom Holland has previously commented on his relationship with Zendaya, after rumours that they were engaged circulated.
People on social media were understandably confused after news broke of the actors posing together, while Zendaya showed off a large diamond ring.
Pattinson himself has been in a long-term relationship with actress and singer Suki Waterhouse for years, but readers of The Boston Globe yesterday probably had to scratch their eyes after seeing a section dedicated to the actors who are apparently getting engaged.

The announcement threw people off, but rather unsurprisingly to the majority of people, the photo and accompanying description was put up as part of a marketing campaign for their upcoming romantic comedy film, titled The Drama.

Taking a closer look at the piece, readers would have realised the engagement was for Emma Harwood and Charlie Thompson, the names of the actors' characters in the upcoming A24 movie.
So, while Tomdaya fans were able to breathe a sigh of relief, it's worth remembering that the Spider-Man stars prefer not to share details about their personal lives, so an 'announcement' about anything would seem unlikely.
Speaking back in 2021, Holland admitted to GQ: "One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn't really in our control anymore.
"And a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world."
Speaking more about his relationship with Zendaya, he added: "I've always been really adamant to keep my private life private, because I share so much of my life with the world anyway.
"We sort of felt robbed of our privacy."
Rumours have swirled about Holland and Zendaya becoming engaged in the past year or so but while these haven't been confirmed or denied by them specifically - although they were by Tom's dad Dominic in a blog post - the Unchartered actor did confirm that the pair were still together last year.

Back in December last year, the Brit was asked by TMZ: "Are y'all broken up or not?"
To which he replied: "No, absolutely not.
"Our relationship is something that we are quite protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible," the 29-year-old told The Hollywood Reporter in 2024.
"We don't think that we owe it to anyone, it's our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers."
As for the newspaper that published the snap, they posted about it by revealing that they'd had an 'unusual request' on Monday, even asking if they could hold off on their TV Critic’s Corner column to allow an advert to run instead.
This ended up being the engagement for the film with the photo of Pattinson and Zendaya.
