Sean Astin has stepped in to help former Nickelodeon star Tylor Chase get off the streets, following concerns raised over the child actor's well-being in recent weeks.
Chase went viral in recent weeks after a video emerged of him on the streets of California and seemingly in a bad way.
His former co-stars from the hit show Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide have come forward to try and help; however, concerns have remained about the former actor.
Police have confirmed that he has declined offers to help him find housing and said they were unsure how long he ‘has been experiencing homelessness’, something which Chase denies.

Now though, The Lord of the Rings, The Goonies, and Stranger Things actor Sean Astin has been stepping in to try and help Chase.
The celebrity may be best known by many as Samwise, Mikey, or Bob, but he now works as the President of SAG-AFTRA, the Actors’ union.

Chase’s co-star Daniel Curtis Lee has also been publicly trying to help Chase, by buying him food, meeting up with him, trying to organise medical help for him, and even putting him up in a hotel.
Daniel has claimed to TMZ that Astin had reached out to try and meet Chase, who is a major LotR fan, hoping that this would help get him off the streets.
Speaking to Chase, he said he was ‘so glad he got to meet him’ and, by his response, it seems like the meeting went well from his reaction.
This will give hope to concerned fans, with the young actor having been hospitalised last week.
The former Ned’s Declassified star was placed on an involuntary 72-hour hold.
Shaun Weiss, a fellow child star who appeared in The Mighty Ducks, released a video about this, stating that he and influencer Jake Harris tried to help Chase.

He said: “Tylor has to want to go to treatment. All the resources are available to him. It's very frustrating because there is no system in place to help people like this.
"Our only option now is to what, watch him wither away on the street?
"Jake - who everyone knows has made it his life's purpose to watch over Tylor and make sure nothing happens to him on the street - has been out for the last week keeping an eye on him.
"He contacted a mental health crisis team, they did an evaluation on Tylor, they agreed that he needed help. They took him away in an ambulance and he was supposed to be kept for a few days.
"They did not keep him, they released him in the middle of the night.”

Weiss went on to state that after his second evaluation, he was ‘left on the street’, but also added a warning to fans who have been demanding updates on his situation.
He said: “We don't really know what to do. I'll tell you what is not helpful - the people that want to go and see him to get a selfie for their Instagram and giving him money. That's working against us.
"From what I hear from Jake, when [Chase] got out of the hospital he was fairly lucid, very receptive to treatment. Then he met up with some people, took some pictures and long story short, when Tyler is using, he is not receptive.
"So please, if you could refrain from doing that...it's not helping. He needs a little space right now. Honestly, we don't know what to do."
