Dwayne Johnson has pitched an ambitious cinematic project that would blow fans away.
The Rock wants the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to ‘cross paths one day’.
The actor recently sat down with GamesRadar and told the outlet that while DC exists under a ‘big umbrella’, there’s potential to expand the universe.
"I am optimistic," he said. "Just my nature is optimistic.

"And especially when it comes to creative. Especially when it comes to movies. And especially when it comes to the pantheon of DC superheroes and supervillains.

“Across the street, we have the pantheon of superheroes and supervillains of Marvel. To me, they can not only exist, but they should, in my mind, cross paths one day."
While DC and Marvel have previously joined forces in comic books and video games, they are yet to share the big screen.
As the MCU has entered phase four and found its footing without some of the franchises’ biggest superheroes, maybe a crossover would breathe new life into the next era.
The wrestler-turned actor’s statements come as he gears up for the release of his DCEU flick Black Adam.
The Rock will star in the titular role, who is a corrupted antihero trying to clear his name and reputation, who first appeared in DC comics in 1945. This is the first time the character will be depicted on the big screen.
The Jumanji star will be joined by Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari and Pierce Bronson.
Brosnan will play Kent Nelson/Doctor Fate, a member of the Justice Society of America and son of an archaeologist who learned sorcery.
Despite his impressive resume and being one of Hollywood’s top billed actors, Johnson told Total Film that Black Adam is ‘a once-in-a-career character’.
“After being in this business for many years, Black Adam is a once-in-a-career character. I realise, going in, you’ve got one shot, and the pressure’s on,” he said.
"You’ve got to dive headfirst into the fire. Because, also, the superhero genre has been busted wide open in the greatest of ways in our business, and has been responsible for some of the greatest movies ever made. So that’s the measuring stick.”
Black Adam is set to be released in theatres October 21, 2022.
